As I become older and more aware of truth, July 4th is even more profoundly affecting my mind and heart. We are less free today, July 4, 2024, than we were when the Founders declared their independence and when they were so sick of it all, dumped some tea in a Harbor while dressed as Mohawks to make a point in 1773.
SEVENTEEN. Seventeen usurpations was all it took for a few of the best men and women in history to say “enough.” Today, we live under the illusion of freedom. We can no longer count the ways we are abused and raked over the coals by design by a systemic approach. We bypass and circumvent the United States Constitution and state constitutions and instead prop up our agendas with bureaucratic systems and red tape, mounds of paperwork, and little law enforcement, if any.
We are perpetually enslaved to system upon system with mounting systems on the rise by design—such as ESG and CBDC (my next article topic). I keep putting that off but really cannot any longer because of what I see in my state.
We should be reflective. We should celebrate what our country has been in the past. We should celebrate our victories and all the worthy things. We should also grieve what she has become. I am more reflective than celebratory these days. I reflect and appreciate what it took to “declare and see it through.” Many of you also work tirelessly to secure our liberties, freedoms, and sacred inalienable rights. Sometimes we have to be creative in how we reclaim the original intent. It can be done. But it will never be top-down. It will always be bottom-up as designed. Each individual. Personal responsibility. Education. Fortitude. Willingness to speak the truth. Willingness to act. And courage to stand when no one else does.
I love my Homeland. She is worth fighting for. Protecting. Defending. But we will surely have to assert ourselves. You don’t win wars on defense. What does that look like for you? Ask the Lord to use you and your gifts in creative ways to bring about freedom in your areas of influence.
Choose today to live as a Free American... not an American under the illusion of freedom. There were and are several governments that have mastered that already. We would do well to learn to not repeat that history.
I’m thankful to everyone who truly has and does and will continue to stand in the gap to continue to keep Freedom’s Flame burning brightly. Thank you, Lord, that we have been entrusted with such a rare and beautiful gift we call America, our precious Homeland. Help us steward well the sacred duty to defend, preserve, and protect our nation for which we each are called. Amen.
