When I served in the Legislature, every time I spoke up for school choice I heard the same tired line: “If you support choice, you’re anti-school.” Nonsense.
I think it gets down to one overriding factor. No one likes change. Very few want to take a chance on something new. It is sad. I read the column that the principal of Oxford High School wrote and was not impressed with his logic. There were many half-truths with, as you say, the same tired arguments. Hopefully we can come out of this deep dark hole and give the people a chance. It's not like they can't take it back.
