The last paragraph says enough to let me know this is a “sham” feel good bill the politicians will use to say to voters, ‘Look what we did for you! They will point to local government and say they raised your taxes after we lowered them’.
Just swapping taxes around to make it look good? We will still be paying the same no matter which tax it's for. How about this... Government leadership should get paid what regular citizens get paid, then we will see an actual difference in what taxes we pay..... Just a thought

Now we've gone from the highest grocery tax in the country to a top 5 highest grocery tax in the country. People should ask themselves how Arkansas, who is just as poor as MS, can afford to have no grocery tax but we need the highest tax in the nation, and it still isn't enough for the parasites. People are so fed up & sick of politicians & govt that something is gonna come to a head soon. They're all liars, they're all narcissistic psychopaths who "serve the state" by fattening their own pockets through bribes & kickbacks & corruption & fraudulent wasteful spending rather than trying to better this state & their areas by lowering the number of laws, loosening regulations & red tape, & letting the free markets work their magic. The best gov't is the one that DOES NOTHING. Doing nothing is doing something. But these parasitic do-gooders have to make it appear like they're working while they waste our tax dollars down in Jackson, so they create these BS crappy bills so they can pat themselves on the back & tell themselves job well done.
