Yesterday’s election results were disappointing. So where do we go from here?
This is my second article to write about the election results. My first was very dark; my wife called it doom and gloom. I understand that many of us feel defeated; we fought like conservatives fight, which is with every ounce that we have within us. We are not fighting for power, authority, or money; we fight because we love our nation, our state, and the people of Mississippi. We fight because we truly believe that the conservative principles on which our nation was built have created the greatest nation in the world. We fight because we want Mississippi to be the best place to work, rear our children, and live our lives. We fight because if we don't, evil takes over, and if that happens, we all lose.
Every conservative that fought and lost the election yesterday, from Chris McDaniel on down, should stand tall today, knowing they have not sat idly by watching and complaining; they made a difficult decision to take a stand. Campaigning isn’t easy; you spend hours door-knocking, reading emails, and making speeches, and you take endless criticism and hits to your ego. I am proud of all of those who took the chance, who made the commitment, and who made the sacrifice.
I also make a personal commitment to not give up on principles and to keep fighting for the conservative values and policies that Mississippi needs to move forward. I make a personal commitment to move on past this election and work with and hold accountable those who were elected. This process is what makes our nation unique in the world and in history. Average citizens fight for the candidate who best represents their values, and once the election is over, we rally behind those elected.
We still have another election in November; this was just the primary election. The next fight is between two opposing ideologies. The Democrats on the ballot are of the party of Biden and Harris, who are responsible for destroying our nation's economy and who have opened our southern border to millions of human traffickers, drug dealers, and criminals. Our fight is now against those in the Democrat Party who wish to destroy our power grid and literally leave us in the dark.
Now we join with those elected from within the Republican Party to fight the real enemy of our freedom and liberty, the Democrat Party. There will be plenty of time come January, when the Mississippi legislature is in session, to fight over how we implement conservative policy. Now is the time to ensure we have Republicans in the fight.
The Convention of States continues to fight for 2/3 of the states (34) to pass a resolution calling for a convention to prepare and vote on amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Mississippi has already done her part and is patiently waiting on the other necessary states to follow. I am proud that we did not have to be last on this! I do not know where the count is -- last I heard it was 19 states and that was several months ago. Our country is upside down! The citizens need to run the country and the government needs to serve us! We seem to have lost our way and the vision of the founders. We need to start by repealing the 16th Amendment and all laws that followed from that. Citizens should not have to pay government more than a minimal percentage of their net income. All payments to government for taxes, licenses, fees, etc. should be paid locally -- at your county or city tax collector's office. And the federal government should be required to have a balanced budget just like we have here in Mississippi. Our elections have been compromised, but if we control the dollars, then government will be under our control.
God I wish I was in John T. Williams district! Just to say I had a hand in voting him in but unfortunately I couldn’t.. I know he’s personally an awesome candidate.. but very disappointing to hear this.. the only fight to look forward to is ultimately the one that seals our fate with the one that answers all the questions we have with the 2020 election and executive orders put in place in national emergency and all the spec in the air right now! If dominion etc is successful at swiping this election there is a much greater issue that will spearhead the will of this fallen nation!! We are on the brink of one of the biggest transitioning in history! And I’m fearful & ecstatic to be apart of it but mostly fearful
