Conservative Policy is not dead
It’s been almost two weeks since the primary elections, and conservatives across our state are still reeling from their losses. Media outlets have gleefully reported that conservative policy is dead in Mississippi.
It’s easy to get caught up in their predictions of the demise of conservative policy and join the chorus of doomsday singers. But, while the election may not have gone the way many of us hoped, conservative ideology is not dead in Mississippi.
There are hundreds of thousands of us who believe that the basic conservative policy outlined by our Republican Party platform is the best way to govern our state. We believe the conservative principles that built our nation are the principles that best serve every citizen of Mississippi.
Our fight is not with individuals, our fight is for policies that make Mississippi a better place for everyone to live, raise children, and serve God. Our fight is worth fighting and one we never give up on.
How we conduct ourselves now, post election, will determine how strong Mississippi can grow. If we become angry and lash out at those elected, if we become vindictive, then we could kill any chances of conservative policy moving forward.

Conservative politicians have created 95% of their losses in MS. They chose to deny the medical facts of treatment of diseases with Marijuana. I hope they now choose to not deny medical treatments as is the outrageous small limits of the medication that has NEVER killed a single person who used it as a means to get high or as medical treatment. The people of this state have spoken and if our politicians do not accept their own accountability for the losses people will continue to become and vote liberal by larger numbers than have ever bern seen before.
